If you are still using the stock fuel injectors I would not run my car very hard all the time. Stock injectors on a 8psi turbo set-up would gaurentee a blown motor sooner or later. Some other guys here are lucky but some others wished they did not play with fire. I don't trust the stock O2 sensor for shit as many have blown their motor while the Autometer guage was dead rich. RC 310's should do fine unless you plan to boost more down the road. The only protection is the J&S safegaurd; well worth the $550 for a setup like yours.

The truth about detonation:

Detonation, ping, and knock are very different phenomena. As I am not well versed in combustion dynamics, I will not expand on that thought, just know they are different.

Detonation is a silent killer. If you ever get the chance to 'hear' it occur, it's because your engine blew up.

What you do get to hear are the events leading up to that point. Sometimes described as 'marbles in a cup'. If you hear this, get out of the throttle immediately.

GSR's and ITR's have knock sensors already, but they are limited in the amount of timing they can pull. You should have some form of boost retard on all FI engines. Buy an Ultra Safeguard or BTM if you don't already have one. Set the retard between .5 and 1 deg/lb. Boost happy.
